At the FJ Chalke Academy we have various apprenticeships across all departments. Our apprentice programmes include accounts, marketing, technical, sales, customer service and body repair. Employed at one of our sites, Mere, Yeovil or Wincanton you will also attend block training at a college or manufacturer training academy. Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will have achieved a NVQ level 3 in your preferred area of our business. To apply for an FJ Chalke apprenticeship, you must have the following: Level 4, Grade C predicted grades or equivalent in at least four subjects (inc. Maths, English and a Science subject).
Immediate Apprenticeships
Light Vehicle Technician Apprentice
We are looking to give someone the opportunity to start their career with FJ Chalke Wincanton as a Light Vehicle Technician Apprentice.
Apprentice Technicians are trained in all areas of vehicle mechanics and electronics, from engine and exhaust systems to air conditioning and security features.
Vehicle Body Repair Apprentice
We are looking to give someone the opportunity to start their career with FJ Chalke as a Vehicle Body Repair Apprentice.
Vehicle body repair technicians assess damage and repair all elements of a vehicle after it has sustained some type of collision damage. These range from small damage through to heavily impacted types of damage requiring complex and detailed repair or replacement of major structural elements of the vehicle.

S&B Academy
Apprenticeship: Light Vehicle Technician and Body Vehicle Repair Technician
S&B are a market-leading automotive training centre with purpose-built facilities. S&B have realised the difficulties of the level 3 Light Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship, with the national pass rate being as low as 55%.
To assist with this, they are offering a level 2 automotive care apprenticeship which then leads onto a level 3 Light Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship.
This course structure is of a similar duration; however, the pass rate is significantly higher with the level 2 Autocare course reaching a 100% pass rate.
At the FJ Chalke Academy, we firmly believe that this gives our apprentices the best chance in succeeding and securing their future within the motor industry.
Yeovil College
Apprenticeship: Level 2 Customer Service
Yeovil College offers a fantastic Customer Service course and its dedicated team strives for the best with every individual.
This course supports our apprentices in delivering excellent Customer Service to our customers, which is an integral part of the FJ Chalke customer experience.
